Premiered at Webfest Berlin in September 2017. It has also screened at UK Web Fest (London), Bilbao Seriesland (Spain), Rio Web Fest (Brazil) and Dub Web Fest (Ireland). The Japanese Embassy in Dublin has also endorsed it for their Ireland-Japan 60th Year Celebration in conjunction with the Dub Web Fest. Atsushi was awarded Best Actor (Star AMETS) at Bilbao Seriesland 2017, and "Mona Lisa Cowboy" was awarded Special Jury Prize at DC Web Fest 2018.
Lost & Found Cowboy, is the second spin-off series of Yukata Cowboy ®. In Season 1, (4) 10 minute episodes tell the story of Yukata Cowboy, a guileless Japanese-American street performer, meeting Cindy, an American dancer in Tokyo. He guides her through Japan’s cultural maze as she inspires him to learn to dance. They begin to perform together and become romantically involved, but one day, Cindy suddenly disappears.
In Season 2, filmed in Tokyo, London and Madrid last month under literal COVID lockdown, coming out in 2021, Yukata Cowboy finds himself under lockdown in Tokyo, alone and heartbroken. Depressed, he struggles with isolation. Two friends from overseas - a budding Danish comedian Lotte in London and Maribel, a flamenco dancer in Madrid – reach out online and bring him back to life.
Lost & Found Cowboy has been awarded Best Pilot Award at Asia Web Awards 2019 and Best Editing Award at Apulia Web Fest (Italy). Lead actress/choreographer Kellie Holway was awarded Best Rising Star in at Seoul Web Fest 2019. Season 1 streams world-wide (except for Asia) via Twisted Mirror TV.
